Second seed Rafael Nadal will play against third seed Novak Djokovic in the semi-final at Paris Masters. Nadal registered a 7-5, 7-5 straight set win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to reserve his place in the semis.
Novak Djokovic had earlier earned a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory over Robin Soderling of Sweden in the first of the day's quarter-finals .He has made it into the last four in Paris for the first time.
Spain's Fernando Verdasco was assured of the eighth and final spot in the November 22-29 ATP Tour Finals in London after Tsonga and Soderling lost their respective matches.
