The four times singles French open champion and two times singles runner-up at Wimbledon, Spain’s Rafael Nadal beat Andy Murray by 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 during the quarter-final round of the ongoing Wimbledon tournament on Wednesday, July 2. There was just no stopping the Spaniard who ripped the Scottish player before a Centre Court audience which was hoping for a replay of Murray's epic fourth round victory over Richard Gasquet.

From the time Rafael Nadal broke serve during the eighth game, the conclusion was quite clear and his opponent Murray wilted under an onslaught of baseline thunderbolts. In the second set, Rafael Nadal broke the serve twice and went on an onslaught again at 3-3 in the third. The Spaniard was simply ruthless as he overthrew his Scottish opponent and coerced his way into the semi-finals to play against either Rainer Schuettler or Arnaud Clement.
