The much-awaited thriller flick, ‘Raaz - The Mystery Continues’,is all set to hit the theatre on the 23rd of January. The movie, though named after the smash-hit film of 2002 - ‘Raaz’, does not share any common grounds with the latter. Directed by Mohit Suri, Raaz - The Mystery Continues’ has Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman in the main lead. The film gives an insight into the modern Indian society that believes the supernatural world to be nothing more than myths and superstitions.
The story of this horror movie is basically revolves around the events that takes place in the life of three individuals - Prithvi (Emraan Hashmi), Nandita (Kangna Ranaut) and Yash (Adhyayan Suman). Prithvi, a painter by profession, has strange and disturbing visions coming into his mind. The unsettling visions concern Nandita, a girl he has never met. Transforming his visions into paintings, Prithvi sets off to find this girl. Talking about Nandita, she is a balanced human being with a rational thinking.
When Prithvi confides in her all what he has seen and shows her his paintings, Nandita, like any other modern girl, junks off the facts. So does her boyfriend, Yash. She takes Prithvi to be an uncanny man, only to realize later that he was correct. This happens, when Nandita meets near-death incidents, which coincidently are quite similar to those predicted by the 'weird' Prithvi. The incidents take her completely by surprise, as Nandita is troubled time and again, by mystical and deadly events.
The cogent and coherent thoughts of Nandita slowly start melting away and she comes to see the truth in Prithvi's words. As if the horrific events in her life were not enough, Prithvi paints another painting, in which he pictures Nandita as dead. If Nandita wants to fight against her destiny, she must solve the mystery, but in the process, she has to make the most important choice in her life - either to go with her rational boyfriend or to believe the prophetic stranger. If you want to know what choice Nandita makes, wait for this Friday (23 January).
