The Delhi-based business paper from HT Media, Mint has got its new editor in R Sukumar after Raju Narisetti stepped down from the post. The 42-year-old Narisetti who had launched the paper in February 2007 will continue his association with the company as its advisory editorial director. Before being a part of Mint, Raju Narisetti was associated with Wall Street Journal’s European edition as an editor.
While interacting with the media, CEO of HT Media, Rajiv Verma said that Raju Narisetti has contributed immensely in converting Mint into a world class business paper. His presence has brought a high editorial standard in the product, he said. Replacing him with Sukumar does not mean that he will not offer his service to the paper. His association with HT Media will continue as an Advisory Editorial Director, he added.
R. Sukumar currently holds the post of Mint’s current managing editor. After becoming the editor, Sukumar's post will be filled by Niranjan Rajadhyaksha.
Meanwhile Raju Narisetti is expected to move back to US from where he will remain associated with Mint. The business paper, Mint was launched as a joint venture with the Wall Street Journal in 2006.
