How important a market India is emerging for international film makers is evident from the fact that the imminent James Bond film Quantum of Solace is going to release in India before United States. After its debut in Britain on October 31, 2008, the next opening is slated to happen in India on November 7. It is exactly a week later that Quantum of Solace will get released in US on November 14.  

This new movie is the sequel of the 2006 Bond flick Casino Royale, which was based on the 1953 novel of author Ian Fleming. Daniel Craig who starred in Casino Royale will be starring in Quantum of Solace as well. The sequel is being released in India by Sony Pictures and it will show Craig picking up again from where he concluded the journey in the 2006 Bond film.

Sony Pictures managing director Kercy Daruwala , said 'James Bond has a huge equity in this country and Bond films have always been a hit here. November 7 will see the biggest roll out for any Hollywood film in India as we would like to give our audiences the thrill of seeing 'Quantum of Solace' even before the US does'.
