A new Quad-Core CPU has been introduced recently by AMD, which has been priced under $100 i.e. approximately Rs. 4,800. Previously AMD declared the manufacture of two of Athlon variants like AMD Athlon II X4 620 and AMD Athlon II X4 630. Athlon II 630 was priced at $122.
Two of AMD processors fit well into the AM3 socket and support DDR3 RAM extendable up to 1333MHz. Both Athlon variants could be used on existing AM2+ Socket based motherboards.
It has been a good gift for the cost conscious consumers.
Athlon II 620 has 2MB L2 Cache, hyper-threading, Thermal Design Power rating of 95Watts and all the essential features as that of Athlon II 630.
The new variant will be also good for the new version of Windows making a budget desktop.
It will only be revealed after the Intel Developer Forum starting Sept. 22.
