Dibaker Banerjee is riding high on success presently as India’s movie distribution and production group PVR has signed a deal with the filmmaker for producing his next film ‘Shanghai’ and distributing it worldwide. President of the PVR Group, Kamal GianChandani was also present on the ocassion.

 

Banerjee has successfully made films like Khosla Ka Ghosla", "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye" and "Love, Sex Aur Dhoka" in the past. Presently, he is working on ‘Shangahi’ which will be released the next year.

 

Ajay Bijli, PVR Group Chairman and MD says, “Dibakar is undoubtedly one of the finest among the new breed of Indian filmmakers. We are delighted to present Dibakar's next film and look forward to launching many more films under the ambit of this relationship with him.”

 

Thrilled after signing the deal, Dibaker also adds, “This raw, edgy and very contemporary political thriller is something both of us fell in love with together! And I believe a film is worth making when both the director and the producer have the same kind of hoots for the subject. I'm looking forward to an exciting year with Ajay and his team.”

 

Presently, he is working on ‘Shangahi’ which will be released the next year, he is on the stage of choosing the cast for the movie.
