The Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) has got itself a new CEO. The company recently declared that Punit Goenka, who presently holds the post of the Network Operating Officer, will soon be taking over as the CEO. He would be succeeding Pradeep Guha. Since quite some time, there has been a buzz that Pradeep Guha would be exiting ZEEL, but both Guha himself as well as the company has remained very hush hush on this issue. This development puts all speculations to rest now.
In was in 2005 that Pradeep Guha had joined the Zee Group after an almost three-decades long stint at The Times of India. During Guha’s reign, a lot of changes were made in ZEEL. For instance, the Group and its various channels revamped to new initiatives like Zee’s foray into print through Diligent Media. Punit Goenka too has remained at the forefront of all the aspects of the Group. Punit Goenka was appointed as the Network Operating Officer in November 2007. Before this, he was just the head of the flagship channel Zee TV.
