Recognizing his relentless endeavor in promoting the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Government conferred upon noted social worker and writer Prof N Radhakrishnan the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award for 2007 on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

 

It was senior Congress politician Karan Singh who presented Prof N Radhakrishnan with the award and a cash prize of Rs three lakh at a function organized for the purpose. Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi were also present.

 

Prof Radhakrishnan was felicitated with a shawl by PM Dr Manmohan Singh. Radhakrishnan is well-known for his contribution to the cause of non-violence, peace and communal harmony.
