Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will now be seen giving message of stopping piracy in India in the campaign- Alliance Against Copyright Theft (AACT). They would speak against piracy along with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros International.

The campaign (AACT) is a coalition between Bollywood and Hollywood studios to educate the people about the evils of piracy.

The young actors will also ask the people to report incidents on the toll free number 1800 103 1919. A short film featuring the actors will be made, in which they will speak the bad task of piracy.

Ranbir Kapoor adds further, “Piracy has become a serious issue for the industry, especially among the youth. As people from the film fraternity, the onus rests with us to educate and inform people about initiatives like AACT’s toll free number. I hope that everyone supports us and go to theaters to watch the movie.”

Priyanka also spoke for the campaign and said, “People forget that there is no replacement to watching a movie in a theater. When someone buys or downloads a pirated movie they are not aware about the damage that piracy causes to the industry. As responsible citizens we need to be vigilant about not encouraging illegal activities.”

Well, the initiative will definitely help people in making them understand about the bad practices and may trigger some good responses from the mob, even the anti-piracy agencies will be benefited by this initiative.
