Queen Elizabeth II has asked Prince William, her grandson, for being a part of her overseas trips, which has led to the speculation that the queen is moulding the Prince to hold the reins of the British Empire in future.
The Queen, who had received the invitations for visiting Australia and New Zealand in January on a 7-day itinerary, had insisted William, 27, to visit the places for her. This move is a clear indication that the 83-year-old wants to retire from her responsibilities and wishes for a quick replacement.
Even though Prince William had expressed his desire for becoming a pilot, there are reports from News of the World which cite the sources mentioning that the Queen is moulding the prince into the role of ‘king-in-waiting’.
