Pride Group of hotels is in expansion mode. Its MD SP Jain has announced that it will invest Rs 7.5 billion in its expansion plan. Currently, the group has properties at Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai. It already has added 60 rooms to its existing 110-room five-star property at Ahmedabad. With the latest addition it has become one of the largest luxury hotels in Gujarat.
Commenting on company's expansion plan, SP Jain said that the firm is planning to add 750 rooms in the cities of Delhi, Hyderabad, Cochin, Surat, Jaipur and Navi Mumbai by 2015. He clarified that Pride Group was focusing more on its business hotel brand, but now, it will be looking for three five-star properties in London, Delhi and Mumbai.
Under its ambition projects, the group is planning to add 15 properties under business hotels at Nashik, Mysore, Indore, Coimbatore, Raipur, Madurai and Goa. After the expansion, the firm will have 10 hotels under the five-star category. In grand, there would be 4,000 rooms across its three brand categories. There would be internal accrual for funding of the expansion-cum-renovation plan.
