According to the reports of the WAM news agency, a booklet on the various medical check-ups which couples need to undertake before entering into the wedlock has been issued by the health ministry of the United Arab Emirates.
The booklet, which was launched on Friday, completely adheres to the personal status law that had been implemented way back in 2005 vby the government of the UAE. The law makes medical check-ups mandatory before marriage "to build healthy community".
According to the Article 27 of the personal status law, the couple should obtain a medical certificate before entering the wedlock which proves that they are free from any types of diseases.
