Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be inaugurating the 2-day Annual Economic Editors' Conference at the National Media Centre on Tuesday. The conference will hold separate sessions with the cabinet ministers as well as senior officers.
The conference is meant for enabling economic editors and journalists from across the nation to interact with the ministers to get to know about the various policies as well as programmes of the government.
The media persons will get a comprehensive view of the overall economic scenario in the country and the latest initiatives and thrust areas of the Government.
The Conference will also provide an opportunity to the Government to get feedback from the economic editors.
The participants at this conference include Ministries of Finance, Commerce and Industry, Power, Road Transport & Highways, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Petroleum & Natural Gas as well as Planning Commission.
About 300 editors and financial writers from across 50 different language press of India will be present at the two-day conference.
