India Post, which has from time to time honoured great personalities by issuing commemorative postage stamps, has introduced new ones dedicated to the late Shehnai Maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan. The postage stamp was released by the Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at his own residence.  

The Department of Posts has stated that it has issued the stamps on the great Shehnai Maestro in the denomination of five rupees as a tribute to him on his death anniversary. The function organized for the release of this Bismillah Khan stamp was attended by Minister of Communications and IT, Thiru A. Raja and Minister of State Jyotiraditya M. Scindia.
