Kosovo has separated from Serbia and declared itself as an independent nation on February this year. The announcement of recognition was made by the office of Portuguese Foreign Minister Luis Amado. Meanwhile the some European Union states have opposed the recognition of Kosovo as independent state. Countries like Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Romania and the Czech Republic feel Kosovo had violated the international law by declaring itself as independent state.
