Poojashree Venkatesha will face compatriot Rushmi Chakravarthi at the$10,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in Dehradun on Saturday.
The 19-year-old Poojashree managed to defeat fourth-seeded Japanese player, Miki Miyamura for a 6-1, 7-6(1) where as Rushmi took over Japanese player Moe Kawatoko for 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-2.
But later, Poojashree and her Israeli partner Keren Shlomo were crushed by the Japanese pair Miyamura and Kawatoko for a 6-1,603 at the doubles final.
Poojashree has won two of her three ITF titles this year, the last one at home in Bangalore earlier this month. She had lost in straight sets last week at the semifinals at New Delhi to the 31-year-old Rushmi, who went on to win the title without dropping a set.
The two have met six times and Rushmi leads 5-1 head-to-head.
