Senior officers of Noida police have revealed that they have got some fresh leads in the murder case of Arushi Talwar. The Noida Police and Special Task Force interrogated at least twenty people on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Those interrogated included son-in-law of the deceased domestic help Hemraj and the compounder at Arushi’s father’s clinic. These two persons have been detained by the Noida Police.
The officers took several rounds of Arushi’s home all day on Sunday. The police and Special Task Force officers questioned several members of Arushi’s family. Satish Ganesh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Noida has revealed that they have ample evidence to state that a previously employed domestic helper is involved in the Noida murder case. He further remarked that it was a pre-planned and cold-blooded murder; the weapon used in both murders was sharp as the cuts are clean.
Arushi’s parents were also questioned for about twelve hours as their role in the murders is still unclear. The Police are doubtful as how was it possible that the parents could have slept, when the murder took place in the next room. Also it is being speculated that since no locks or doors were broken, then the killer must have had a friendly entry.
