PML-N has prepared a ten-point charge sheet against Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf. Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, announcing the charge sheet in a press conference, said that these are not just allegations. He said that there is substantial evidence against Musharraf which would be presented in Parliament during the impeachment proceedings. He is also against the notion of safe exit for Musharraf.

 

In ten point charge sheet Musharraf has been blamed for imposing illegal martial law, carrying of Kargil operation against India, Lal Masjid killings, Killing of democracy in Pakistan, abuse of power for personal benefits, surrendering of innocent Pakistan nationals to US, and killing of Baloch leader Bugti etc. Other than these charges, Musharraf has been charged for violation of Constitutional Law, where he took oath under democratic government and subsequently seized the power forcefully.

 

Chaudhary said that it is a fit case for impeachment under Article 6 of the constitution of Pakistan. He said that it would be a mistake to give more time to unreliable and controversial person like Musharraf to remain in power.
