Leading player in monetization solutions for online games, social networks, and virtual worlds, PlaySpan has been named as the Gaming Category Winner at 2009 OnHollywood 100 Conference. The AlwaysOn editorial team selected PlaySpan for the award by evaluating its growth, market opportunity, quality of innovation and customer traction. Speaking to the media, founder & CEO of PlaySpan, Karl Mehta stated that the company is extremely happy to get the award.

 

According to Mehta, the recognition implies the success and the growth of PlaySpan's monetization platform. PlaySpan and the other 100 winners were recognized at the Sofitel Hotel in West Hollywood. The OnHollywood 100 is a power list of the top private emerging technology companies in digital entertainment and media. The AlwaysOn editorial team prepared the list of 100 technology companies for 2009 after a three-month rigorous survey.

 

PlaySpan has recently acquired Spare Change, one of the leading providers of micropayments service for social networks. Apart from this, PlaySpan has also tied up with hi5 for providing microtransactions to social network’s members.
