Crushing all rumors, the United States swimming champion and model, Amanda Beard has denied that there is romance brewing between her and star Olympian Michael Phelps. She even described the thought as downright ‘nasty’. Ever since Phelps created history by winning eight Olympic swimming golds at Beijing, the media and his fans have been going nuts linking him up with Amanda and English model Lily Donaldson.

But former 200m breaststroke champion Amanda Beard has rubbished the reports frankly telling a US radio show that 23 year old Phelps was just not her type. ‘Come on, I have really good taste,’ the 26-year-old Beard said in a jocular manner. She then added, ‘He's not really my type.’ Amanda Beard even denied ever kissing Michael Phelps. Phelps too has denied the relationship and said that she probably already has a boyfriend. He was also mute on the Donaldson link, saying ‘part of my life is kept to myself.’
