Piramal Healthcare's net profit in the first quarter this fiscal has risen 45.5% to Rs.74 crore, compared to the Rs.51 crore notched up in the corresponding period last year.
 
The total income increased 16.4% to Rs.569.76 crore from Rs.489 crore earned in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory statement Wednesday.
 
The group's consolidated profit rose 25 percent to Rs.85 crore for the quarter under review, as against Rs.68 crore posted in the like period a year ago.
 
Its total consolidated income increased about 16 percent to Rs.821 crore for the first quarter, as against the Rs.708 crore earned a year ago.
