The President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf has termed as baseless the reports about him offering to resign to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) if his actions during the time of emergency imposed by him in the country last year, is provided indemnity. Sources inform that it was during a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and MNA Chaudhry Hamid Nasir Chattha on Tuesday that Musharraf rejected the reports.  
 
As per sources, Pervez Musharraf expressed his desire to continue serving as the constitutionally elected president. He further added that he will not step down from his post as the President no matter what offer is made by the coalition government of Pakistan. The spokesperson of the President, Rashid Qureshi however has stated that he is unaware of any such discussion taking place during the meeting.
