‘Peepli Live’ gets Premiered At The Melbourne Film Festival Aamir Khan

As a part of the promotional campaign for Aamir’s fourth production house movie, ‘Peepli Live’, was premiered at the Melbourne film festival. The movie was appreciated by the mentors of the event and it will be released World Wide on August 13.

‘Not Quite Bollywood’ was the category under which ‘Peepli Live’ got premiered with four other Bollywood films at the Melbourne Film Festival.

The venue was filled by crowd of Indian as well as local fans and everyone hovered around the whole place to see actor-producer Aamir Khan. He was looking very traditional and classy on the premier day and was wearing a silken Indian outfit.

Aamir later attended a special reception organized by the Victorian government in his honor. Big time celebrities and political leaders graced the function and Innovation Minister Gavin Jennings joined the party.

Jennings also stated, “India is the largest film producing country in the world producing up to 1,000 films a year more than Hollywood. We're excited the filmmakers have chosen Melbourne for the Australian premiere of 'Peepli Live', allowing Australian audiences to see the film before it screens in India.”

He further added, “Victoria and India have a long and successful relationship when it comes to turning movie dreams into screen magic including the recent films shot here 'Orange' and 'Chak De India!.”
