American actor and film director, Paul Leonard Newman, who is deemed as an iconic personality in Hollywood history is reportedly dying of cancer. A US magazine reports that Newman was diagnosed with lung cancer at New Yorks Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre. The 83 year old actor, who has won numerous prestigious awards such as the Academy Awards, Cannes Film Festival Award, Golden Globe Award and so on, is presently under the care and of a well-known oncologist.

 

A source who is known to Paul Leonard Newman’s family said it was known since quite some time that he is terminally ill, but his loved ones kept this information underwrap. However, rumors about the actor being seriously ill spilled after he began canceling engagements one after another. The veteran of over 50 films dropped plans to direct Steinbecks Of Mice And Men on stage at the Westport Country Playhouse near his home in Connecticut apart from canceling other projects.
