In a passenger plane crash in Kyrgyzstan out of 90 persons onboard, 68 persons have been killed. The plane was bound for Iran crashed shortly after takeoff from the Kyrgyzstan capital of Bishkek on Sunday. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov said that the plane suffered a dramatic loss of cabin pressure, and because of this the crash happened.
Prime Minister further informed that the pilot made an emergency landing in a field not far from the runway and in meanwhile the plane caught fire. According to witnesses there were burning bodies everywhere at the site of accident. The passengers comprised of 51 foreigners were from Iran, Turkey, China and Canada.
Chudinov, however ruled out that plane had any safety problems. He said that the Boeing plane was produced in 1979, and was checked a month ago and had an extended warranty. However, the plane belonged to Itek Air, a private Kyrgyz company. Evidently, the airlines was blacklisted by the European Union from flying in EU airspace.
