Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi Plus To Be Available On Verizon  Palm Pre Plus |
Verizon plans to introduce the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi devices in two different names as Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus in coming days.
The official names of these sets have been codenamed as Russel and Romo for Palm Pre and Palm Pixi respectively. And, the sets would run with the most recently released version of webOS, 1.3.5.
Earlier, the CEO of the company had announced that these two variants would soon be available in its own network. So, now the Palm-Verizon collaborative product can be expected early this year. There might be some more announcements for the Palm Pre sets as well. It is believed to be last release in smartphone category.
Verizon is reportedly pushing its LTE 4G network this year to launch the Apple tablet. The step may be to resurrect it from the economic downturn as recently, it has announced to cut back its workforce by around 8,000.
