Renowned fashion designer Pallavi Jaikishan show cased five different tales at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week in Mumbai on late Tuesday.
“The show was divided into five segments, each narrating a different tale. It talked about various facets of a bride and how she would like to feel differently on her wedding day depending on her mood,” Jaikishan told.
The show kicked off with sensuous models walking the ramp adorned in opulent evening dresses which carried golden brocades and antique gold laces. In the next stage, the showstoppers were antique minakari jewellery, which consisted of fine embroidery on georgettes and brocades.
The next was a set of brides who were flirty and naughty and were adorned in lehengas coupled with pre-draped dupattas of net, satin or velvet.
Champagne gold, apricots and peaches dominated the colour palette.
The last two lines had bright colours and delicate embroidery with several flower motifs - a signature of Jaikishan.
