Defence Minister A K Antony, while addressing the press in Thiruvananthapuram, said that the trained terrorists are being pushed into Indian borders by Pakistan. He also mentioned that proper steps are being adopted against this concern.

"Even now, not only the terrorist camps are operating there, (but) there are continuous efforts to push a large number of trained terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir and India. It is a serious matter; it is a matter of concern to us. So to prevent that, whatever steps (are) needed we are taking," Antony said.

He also added that India’s relations with Pakistan will improve only of Pakistan takes "serious" and "sincere" efforts for eliminating the terror camps of Pakistan.

As a policy, he said India was not for any confrontation with its neighbours. "We want to avoid strained relationships with our neighbours and to improve ties."
