With a view to review the situation arising out of the attacks in Mumbai, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has called for a security conference commencing on December 2. The high level meeting is supposed to be attended by some political leaders of Pakistan who will help to find out strategies to reduce the tension between India and Pakistan over the issue of terrorism.

According to Pakistani spokesman, Gilani was supposed to visit Hong Kong but he postponed the plan and decided to resolve the tension between the two nations. Clinton Global Initiative summit will take place at Hong Kong on December 2-3 where Gilani was also invited. The Pakistani Prime Minister is concerned about the Indian allegations that terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks came from his nation.

Several Indian leaders have targeted Pakistan as the major culprit of Mumbai incident. Some leaders have also alleged that the entire process was executed from Pakistan. However, Islamabad has denied any involvement in the recent Mumbai attacks and asked New Delhi to come up with concrete evidences regarding this matter. Pakistan stated that if somebody is found guilty then requisite action will be taken against him. Most of the Pakistani leaders have condemned the Mumbai attacks and assured to help India to sort out the issue.
