Taliban is still alive and operating. The message is being sent to the world by Pakistan envoy to Afghanistan, Tariq Azizuddin, when he appeared in a video of a news channel Al-Arabiya saying that he has been held by Taliban.

 

It is to be noted that Azizuddin went missing earlier this February and in the video he said that when he along with his driver and body guard were kidnapped in the region of Khyber on February 11. Azizuddin said that they are living in comfortable conditions and pleaded the Pakistani government to accept the demands of the Taliban for their release.

 

The video also featured two other men who seemed to be hostages and three gunmen in the background.
