Pakistan cricketers have to obtain no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the government before November 20 to participate in IPL 2010.
According to an IPL release, the auction of the players will be held in January. All the eight franchises have been asked to present a list of players available for auction till the end of this month.
Eleven Pakistani players took part in the first edition of the IPL. However, the franchises preserved the contracts of only four of them for the second edition after the Mumbai terror attacks.
The IPL release said that during the next season pink balls would be used for practice matches. One of the main changes in the rules for the next season is that each team will be allowed four fielding substitutes instead of the mandatory twelfth man.
In addition to this, to make the no-ball rule simpler, the league has decided that any ball bowled above waist height irrespective of the speed will be declared an illegal delivery.
