Pakistan defeated India on Wednesday in a crucial Super Four Match of the Asia Cup by eight wickets. With this win Pakistan stay afloat in the Asia Cup cricket tournament while the fate of the Indian side will be decided by the crucial India Sri Lanka tie on Thursday. If Indian team wins that game, they will meet Sri Lanka in finals. Electing to bat first, the Indian side put 308 for seven on the board. Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (76), Rohit Sharma (58) and Virendra Sehwag (49) were the top scorers for the Indian side.
 
A scintillating century by Younis Khan (123 not out) led Pakistan to clinch the win without much struggle. Misbah Ul haq with his 70 runs was another major contributor for the win. The Indian bowlers could hardly defend the total put by their batsmen. The Pakistan side cruised to 309 for the loss of just two wickets in merely 45.3 overs. Mohammad Younis Khan was declared the man of the match for his scintillating performance.
