The former minister of Pakistan was attacked by a group of armed men in the Awami Muslim League’s office in North Pakistan.

 

Four Security guards got killed in the attack and two other people were injured apart from AML chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday evening. A spokesman at Lal Haveli reported that the attack was inflicted by a group of unknown gunmen when they started firing at AML's campaign office in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed area .

 

AML chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was shot at his leg and was immediately rushed to the hospital. He served as the information minister when Genaral Parvez Musharraf was the President of Pakistan.

 

It has been reported that during the attack AML chief was involved in campaigning preparations for the by-elections which is scheduled for Feb 24.
