Top realty firm, Parsvnath Developers by the end of this fiscal will open up 10 retail stores in different formats. The various formats of stores to be opened by the Parsvnath Developers include hypermarket, food joints (coffee and eateries), convenience stores and large formats. The firm is reportedly in talks with some foreign companies for choosing a collaborator for debuting into the retail store concept.

However neither the names of the probable partners has been divulged by the Parsvnath Developers, nor have they said anything about the approximate investment that will be made in the retail stores venture. It was in November 2007 that the Parsvnath Developers had declared that it will be foraying into the retail sector and has even incorporated a subsidiary Parsvnath Retail Ltd. A different statement it had issued reported that the company has suffered 18 per cent loss in its net profit at Rs 108.87 Crore for the quarter ended March 31 as compared to the previous year.
