Rong Jun, Deputy Director Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) has revealed that the organizing committee will ensure more sales of overseas tickets for Beijing Olympics compared to the previous Athens Games. Jun further remarked that the Beijing Olympic organizers are getting an unprecedented high demand for tickets from the overseas spectators.
 
The BOCOG has hence ensured that overseas tickets sales are arranged through local Olympic Games Committees and agencies in all the nations and regions. Rong Jun revealed that for the Beijing Olympic Games more than 180 Olympic Games committees have applied for tickets, which is almost twice the number of applicants in the Athens Olympic Games.
 
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games has also kept in consideration the strong and traditional sports of the nations and allocation of tickets likewise. For foreigners residing in China and either studying or working their, can buy tickets like any other Chinese resident through a Chinese Bank or through the official ticket site for the Beijing Games. Rong remarked that the only legal channel for foreigners outside China to buy the tickets is through local Olympic Games Committees.
