However, investigation is still going on and experts are giving attention on the plane's two black box recorders which would give clues into the accident, some aviation security experts are of opinion that overheating may have caused the accident. The air accident that took lives of more than 153 persons has 28 survivors; the survivors would be of great help in unearthing the reason behind the crash.

Development Minister Magdalena Alvarez on the accident commented that the causes will have to be provided not only by the company but also by the black boxes, which compile all the flight data. Arguably, the plane Spanair MD-82 jet aborted an initial take-off attempt shortly before the accident, and officials are asking the reason behind it.

According to reports, the plane had reported an air intake valve overheating before a first attempt at takeoff but it was not immediately clear whether that was a factor in the accident. However, Patrick Smith, a U.S.-based MD-80 pilot and aviation author on the cause of crash said that most likely, whatever the malfunction of the probe was, it is probably not related to what happened.
