A challenge for Indian women does not seem to bother, at least the gathering of women candidates at Jalandhar BSF recruitment drive shows so. More than 15,000 women candidates are trying hard to get into BSF despite knowing the fact that life in BSF is not going to be easy for them. Though the vacancies are for just some 600 women constable this gathering shows the enthusiasm among women to get into BSF.
 
 
Many aspirants were heard saying that this is a very good step for girls and they are not behind in any field. Talking about their capability, they said that one could look at examples of Sunita Williams, PT Usha and many others. This is a big step to uplift the stature of girls. Another candidate who came here for recruitment said army or BSF girls are not behind and she wanted to serve the country and she is happy.
 
 
Talking about training module K J S Cheema, DIG, BSF said that these women will get training just like other GD constables and they will be trained to participate in any kind of war, but immediately they will be utilized just of the frisking of the ladies who will go beyond the border fence.'
