This year's Oscar awards night saw Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' at the top of the list with a total of 8 Academy honours. Indian music maestro AR Rahman won two awards for his work in 'Slumdog Millionaire'. British director Danny Boyle received the Best Director award while his Mumbai-shot film earned the title of Best Picture. The 81st annual Academy Awards honoured late Australian actor, Heath Ledger with Best Supporting Actor award for his role as the Joker in 'The Dark Knight'.
