"Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Orlando Bloom has sold a date with himself for 9,000 pounds.

The star who is seeing Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has auctioned off a dinner date with himself at a star-studded charity bash for London's Great Ormond Street Hospital Wednesday, reports the China Daily.

The 32-year-old actor was joined at the Victoria and Albert Museum by Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, British TV presenter Vernon Kay and Jade Jagger as they helped raise over 450,000 pounds for the children's charity.

Other lots up for sale included Hamilton's customised diamond-encrusted racing helmet, which fetched 30,000 pounds, and a high-speed lap of the Silverstone racecourse before the start of this year's British Grand Prix.
