Talk show host ‘Oprah Winfrey’ tops the 2008 Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List this year. The List for 2008 was announced on Wednesday, June 11 and it features the name of Oprah Winfrey as the most powerful celebrity for the second consecutive year this year. On the whole Oprah holds the honor of being featured at the top five times on this yearly Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List.  

 

In the top 10 category, the List includes the names of actor couple Angelina Jolie at number three and Brad Pitt at top 10. Music mughals Beyonce Knowles and hubby Jay-Z hold the fourth and the seventh position. The second slot is held by Golfer Tiger Woods, whereas soccer star David Beckham holds the five position on this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List.  

 

Remarking on this year’s Celebrity 100 Power List, Matthew Miller of Forbes magazine said, ‘It's not surprising that Oprah Winfrey and Tiger Woods remain at the top this year - they're certainly some of the biggest earners.’ Though the rankings of this Forbes List was basically based on the earnings over the past year, other factors such as Internet presence, press clippings, magazine covers and mentions on TV and radio were also considered.
