Opera has launched a new version of mobile browser called Opera Mobile 9.7 beta for Windows Mobile-based phones. The company claimed that this new version of mobile browser is faster than any other products in the market. Opera Mobile 9.7 beta has been incorporated with Opera Turbo for faster surfing. In order to offer faster page loads and better overall performance, Opera has also included its newly upgraded browser engine called Opera Presto 2.2.
In addition to all these, Opera Mobile 9.7 has Opera Widgets that helps to get connected to Web content in no time. The Opera Turbo technology in the new mobile browser offers faster surfing because it unburdens the mobile phone of its full rendering responsibilities by off-loading this task to Opera servers. Apart from it, Opera Turbo speeds up the data transfer by using advanced compression technology. It also reduces the amount of data that needs to be downloaded by up to 80 percent.
Opera's rendering engine, Opera Presto 2.2 enables Opera Mobile 9.7 to display Web pages on the phone up to 25 percent faster. It is the same rendering engine incorporated in Opera's desktop browser. According to Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software, the new version of mobile browser will deliver a new standard of speed and compatibility. Manufacturers will be able to install Opera Mobile on a wide range of phones leading to lesser use of memory on phone. This will help them to reduce component cost.
