World Music Day is celebrated every year on June 21 and this year too people and organizations associated with music plan something nice to celebrate the occasion. Major FM radio stations across India are not to be left behind in these celebrations. Among others, Radio City, Big FM, Red FM, My FM have planned to celebrate the day by sharing interesting trivia on music, organizing contests and playing the favorite music of their listeners.
Anand Chakravarthy, VP Marketing Big FM remarked that World Music Day is perfect day to celebrate, recall and pay tribute to some great music over time and the people behind it. In Delhi and Mumbai, Big FM plans to present musical evenings at prominent malls in the cities. Harrish M Bhatia, COO, My FM remarked that music is the soul of radio and so World Music Day naturally becomes a big opportunity of celebration for the industry as well as to provide choices entertainment to the listeners.
