Barak Obama, the US presidential candidate for Democratic Party has reiterated that in case of him becoming US President he would first withdraw US army from Iraq. He has been quoted saying that single-minded and open-ended focus on Iraq is not a sound strategy for keeping America safe, further he said that leaving Iraq is the most safe decision for safe US. He however said that he will fight terrorism tooth and nail. Earlier Obama was criticized by Republican rival candidate for his ambiguous stand on Iraq issue.

Speaking at the International Trade Center in Washington Mr Obama said that this war diminishes our security, our standing in the world, our military, our economy, and the resources that we need to confront the challenges of the 21st Century. Further he wished for a pleasing end of Iraq turmoil.
