Inspired by the successful re-release of Mughal-E-Azam in a coloured version, efforts are now being made to re-release yesteryear's hit South Indian films of N.T. Ramarao (NTR) and M.G. Ramachandran (MGR). The NTR & MGR films on their re-release will not just be colored, but will have additional visuals too.

Producer O.K. Mani said, 'Srinivasa Kalyanam, a black and white costume drama that catapulted former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N.T. Ramarao (NTR) to fame in the 1960s in Tamil Nadu, is being colour-corrected for release later this month'. Simultaneously, its Telugu version Venkateshwara Mahatmyam is also being prepared.

Infact, MS Vishwanathan has made two new songs for the movie. As per information provided by Mani, the Srinivasa Kalyanam will carry ample computer graphics as well as clips of the yearly festival observed at the reverent Tirupati Temple. The total length of the film, however, has been cut down to 120 minutes, whereas the sounds have been digitalized.
