New South Wales wants to rope in Yuvraj Singh for their domestic Twenty20 tournament. The Indian star who has grabbed the attention of Australian state side NSW is most likely to be contacted by the management .According to one of the top NSW players, the management will try to get Yuvraj on board for the T20 that will be played from 28th of December till January 23, 2010
The unnamed cricketer said, “He’s a great player, and he’s been magnificent in conditions across the world, so if we can get him, it’ll give us a great chance at the title.”
Yuvraj has scored 415 runs from 15 matches at an average of 34.58 at a strike-rate of 160.85. He is the captain of Kings XI Punjab and also has two IPL hat-tricks to his credit.
In his 57 Twenty20 internationals, Yuvraj has scored 1380 runs at a strike-rate of 138.27 and bagged 20 wickets.
NSW are the 2008-09 Big Bash champions. The team is currently in India for the Champions League Twenty20.NSW have also shown interest to sign all-rounder Shahid Afridi of Pakistan and Kumar Sangakkara of Srilanka.
