With the approval of nuclear waiver by NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group) India has finally come out of the 34-year old nuclear apartheid. Also, the approval has stopped all the speculations and reservations in the eyes of some NSG member states about India's nuclear deal and India's nuclear program. Now, the 45-nation NSG would be able to engage itself with India in nuclear trade.

The outcome of three days grueling negotiations has been pleasing for Indian diplomats. The land of Vienna finally gave something conclusive to India. The negotiations were basically centered on NSG waiver to India and nuclear proliferation. However, India which has always been a good example of nuke non-proliferation still it is not a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

India's National Security Advisor MK Narayanan confirmed that the all the NSG members have consented for N-waiver to India. Reportedly, India had to work hard to convince reservations from Austria, Ireland and New Zealand. However, the Indo-US nuke deal will have to go another process of ratification by the US Congress before it could take force. And, more importantly the Congress must act before adjourning in late September.
