Novak Djokovic crushed Juan Monaco to advance into the third round at Paris Masters. The third seed Djokovic defeated the Argentine by 6-3, 7-5 at the Bercy arena on Wednesday.
The Serb, who had defeated Roger Federer in the Basel final on Sunday, came back from 2-0 down in the first set .Monaco then took a 5-2 lead in the second set but Djokovic roared back and eventually turned the game in his favour. Djokovic will take on German 16th seed Tommy Haas or Arnaud Clement of France in the next round.
Swedish ninth seed Robin Soderling who still has a chance to get a place at the ATP World Tour Finals in London defeated Croatia's Ivo Karlovic by 6-4, 7-6 (8/6).
Soderling will meet Russian Nikolay Davydenko in the next round.
