According to a latest survey by business magazine Fortune, PepsiCo head Indra Nooyi is the most powerful woman in business. The magazine wrote that 52 year old Nooyi has moved swiftly to offset slowing beverage sales in North America by expanding the international business, which now represents 26 percent of revenues.

The magazine further adds that she is also pushing healthier products like orange juice with omega-3 fatty acids in food and beverage market, which is quite useful and healthy. Nooyi has come on the top defeating Lene Rosenfeld, head Kraft Foods (No. 2), Anne Mulcahy, CEO, Xerox (No. 4); Andrea Jung, CEO, Avon Products (No. 6); and Harpo head Oprah Winfrey (No. 8).

The list in its eleventh year now has dropped some of the high-profile women including Meg Whitman CEO of eBay; and Sallie Krawcheck former Citigroup CEO for Global Wealth Management. According to Fortune, ranking is done on the basis of these women's contribution in profit of the firm vis-à-vis the global economy, and career momentum and social and cultural influence.
