In a bid to capture the emerging 3G-enabled mobile market, Nokia unveiled as many as three 3G mobile phones viz: Nokia 2730 Classic, Nokia 7020 Fold and Nokia 2720. The mobile giant claimed that the new 3G-enabled handsets are the cheapest phones in the market. Nokia 2730 Classic 3G mobile phone will be available at a price of $108 after its market-release in third quarter of 2009. Nokia 2730 supports two services of the company, Nokia Life Tools and Ovi Mail.
The other model, Nokia 7020 Fold is a flip phone that comes loaded with host of features other than the 3G capability. Nokia 7020 mobile phone supports email, calendar and filesharing capabilities. The new 3G-enabled Nokia flip phone feature a 2-megapixel camera for some casual pictures along with a bright display. This stylish clamshell handset will carry a price tag of $74 and will be available in market in the third quarter.
The third handset, Nokia 2720 supports four WCDMA (3G) bands and it will be available for $121 in the fourth quarter of current year. The GSM handset features a music player, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, PC syncing, internal speaker, messaging and e-mail and a wireless Web browser. Nokia 2720 3G mobile phone comes with GPS facilities and a personal organizer.
